Obituary for Abigail (O'Sullivan) McBride
Abigail (O’Sullivan) McBride, 79, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Thursday November 10, 2017.  Born in Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland to Jeremiah and Mary (Horgan) O’Sullivan, Abigail attended Kenmare National School and Lorreto Convent School in Kenmare, she has lived in Ludlow for many years and worked for the Ludlow Public Schools for 22 years.  She was a faithful communicant of St. Cecilias Church and proud of her Irish heritage.  She leaves her beloved husband of 54 years Philip McBride of Ludlow; loving children Mary Tobin and her husband Thomas and their children Maura, Colleen and Keira, Philip McBride his wife Kathleen and their children Maire and PJ, Jeremiah McBride his wife Carolyn and their daughters Molly and Abby, Sean McBride his wife Meghan and their children Aidan and Grace.  Abigail will be missed her her siblings Jeremiah O’Sullivan, Eileen Bythwood, Maura Peters, Bridget O’Sullivan, Ann Shannon, Kate O’Sullivan and Elizabeth O’Sullivan, sadly she was predeceased by her sister Sheila O’Sullivan and brothers Johnny and Edward. Abigails family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Miguel Rodriguez of the Mercy Medical Group, for the compassionate care he gave to her.  Funeral services for Abigail will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  Family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Cecilia's Church Wednesday morning at 10:00am to celebrate a Liturgy of Christian Burial, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home and in lieu of flowers it was the wish of Abigail's family that donations be made in her memory to: JBO Scholarship Fund, 33 Progress Avenue, Springfield, MA.
