Obituary for Beatrice (Coutu) Sicard
Beatrice (Coutu) Sicard, 87, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2017 surrounded by her beloved family.  Born in Limerick, Maine, daughter of the late Wilfred and Rose (Becotte) Coutu, she came to Massachusetts in 1961 where she devoted her life to raising her family.  Beatrice was an avid card player who enjoyed her Monday night card games, and also loved to play bingo; but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.  Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Jean-Paul Sicard, Sr. , who predeceased her in 1967; a loving and devoted mother to Donald Sicard and wife Mary, of Southwick, Sandra Cass and husband Tom, of Westfield, Ruth Mason and late husband Eric, of Southbridge, Kim Petrie and husband Henry, of North Carolina, Debra deSousa and husband Jose, of Ludlow, and the late Jean-Paul Sicard, Jr.; a dear sister to Raymond Coutu and wife Fran, of Plymouth, NH; and also leaves her sister-in-law Sally Coutu, of N.H.; her cherished 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren, whom she adored; many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.  Funeral services for Beatrice will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at Ludlow Funeral Home.  Visiting hours are from 11:00-12:45pm concluding with a funeral home chapel service at 1:00pm followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org)
