Elizabeth “Betty” (McKay) Rodrigues, 86, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born In Ludlow, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth McKay, she was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow High School. Betty was a faithful communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption and presently of St. Elizabeth Parish where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Armenio “Rod” Rodrigues, who predeceased her in 2006; a loving mother to Karen Kaboray and husband Robert of Ludlow, Lynn Zimmerman and husband Richard of Port Charlotte FL, and son Scott Rodrigues and Fiancee Paula Hughes of Flemington, NJ; a devoted grandmother to Michael Salvador and partner Kari Sangelo of Longmeadow, Jeff Salvador and wife Amanda of Bondsville, Derek Langevin of St Augustine, FL, Tyler Rodrigues of Atlanta, GA, AJ Rodrigues of San Diego, CA, and Samantha Rodrigues of Pittstown, NJ; cherished great-grandmother to Mason Salvador, Ava Salvador, and Caleb Langevin; a dear sister to Helen Grosvenor, John Mckay and wife Alice, all of Ludlow, and the late Mary Duquette and Edward McKay; and also leaves many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Betty’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Baystate Medical Center Daley 6th Floor, for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral services for Betty will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2016 at 11:15am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in St. Elizabeth Parish. Visitation will precede the funeral on Wednesday from 10:00am - 11:15am and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
