Obituary for Joseph Lukiwsky
Joseph Lukiwsky, 71, of West Springfield, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2017 at Linda Manor Extended Care facility in Leeds, MA. Born in Austria on July 27, 1946, son of the late Joseph and Rosalie (Paslawska) Lukiwsky, he came to the United States as a young child and was employed for over 30 years with the United Stated Postal Service from where he retired. Joseph was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving his country from 1968 to 1971. He served in Vietnam from April 1969 to April 1970 and was the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal for that service. Joseph was the father of Nicholas Lukiwsky and wife Kimberly of Connecticut and Elisa Reinhardt and husband John of Virginia; a brother to Natalie Metras and husband Gary and Mary Jagodowski and husband Michael, all of Easthampton; a grandfather of Molly, Aidan, Nicholas, and Leila Lukiwsky, and Ethan, Joshua, and Aurora Reinhardt. He also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. At Joseph’s request, all funeral services were held privately by his family with Ludlow Funeral Home entrusted with his care.
