Obituary for Maria Luisa Tereso
Maria Luisa Tereso, 92, of Ludlow passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Portugal, daughter of the late Josue and Maria (Luisa) Santos, she was a long time Ludlow resident and faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Maria was the beloved wife of the late Joaquim Tereso who predeceased her in 1989; a loving mother to Manuel Tereso and wife Ilda, Alberto Tereso and late wife Isaura, Armand Tereso and wife Delfina, Fernando Tereso and wife Maria, Rosinda Fragoso and husband Jose, Manuela Santos, and Helena Tereso-Rei and husband Delfin; a dear sister to the late Emilia Tiago; an adoring grandmother to Rick, Kenny, Nancy, Donny, Gary, Steve, Sandy, Nelson, Daniel, Melissa, Lauren, Michael, Jeremy, and Andrea; and adoring great-grandmother to several great grandchildren. Maria’s family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Beacon Hospice, especially Samantha, for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral services for Maria will be held on Friday, May 19th at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 18th from 5:00-8:00pm.
