Obituary for Ortence (Pereira) Hojnoski
Ortence (Pereira) Hojnoski, 81, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow, she was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow High School. Ortence worked for many year at the former Ludlow Savings Bank, and Burden Bryant before retiring as a manager for Greater Media Cable. She was also an avid reader and upon retirement, Ortence loved to travel with her husband. She also enjoyed spending her summers at the beach in Rhode Island where she a member of the Beach Meadows Campers Association. Ortence was the beloved wife of 58 years to Robert L. Hojnoski; a loving mother to Robert F. Hojnoski and fiancee Elaine Richard, and John D. Hojnoski, all of Ludlow, a dear sister to the late Miguel “Mike” Pereira and Alexandrina “Alice” Knybel; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services for Ortence will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial will be held privately by the family. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ortence’s memory to the Charity of One’s Choice.
