Obituary for Rosemary (Matta) Hopkinson
Rosemary (Matta) Hopkinson, 69, of Ludlow passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2017.
Born in Pawtucket R.I. to the late Manuel and Madeline (SanGiovanni) Matta, she has lived in Ludlow for 45 years. She was sadly predeceased by her son Keith Hopkinson in 2015.
Rosemary began her career in business as a file clerk after graduation from high school. She worked her way up in the Bewick Advertising firm and became President of the company when it was sold. Upon retiring from advertising she worked as a  manager for the Hartspring Organization , a divison of the Big Brother Big Sister program. In retirement she enjoyed travel and the company of her friends and family.
Rosemary leaves her brothers, Joseph Matta and his wife Gaille of Watertown, MA and Frank San Giovanni and his wife Nancy of New Mexico. She also leaves her former husband David Hopkinson of Florida and R.I. as well as her very close friends, Elaine Andrade  of R.I., Sandy Dimock of Ludlow and Pamela Pivin of Ludlow.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 18, 2017 from the Ludlow Funeral home. Visiting hours are Thursday morning only from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 with a Chapel service immediately following. Â Burial will follow the service in Island Pond Cemetery.
