Obituary for Zbigniew "Oscar" Kedziorek
Zbigniew "Oscar" Kedziorek, 63, of Ludlow passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2017 from a sudden illness. Born in Springfield, the son of the late Zygmunt and Feliksa (Rola) Kedziorek, he attended Immaculate Conception Parochial School and then graduated from Cathedral High School in 1972. He worked at Mass Mutual as a network engineer, retiring after 38 years. He was a communicant of Christ The King Catholic Church in Ludlow. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Lori (Moreno) Kedziorek and daughter Kimberly Kedziorek of Wilbraham, to forever cherish his love and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his sisters Krystyna Kedziorek, Margie Kedziorek, Regina Toussaint, and brother Henry Kedziorek, and niece and nephews Teresa, David, Zachary and Brian; as well as sister-in-law Judy Metcalf and brother-in-law Louis Moreno. In addition to his parents, Oscar was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Burton as well as sister-in-law Donna Moreno and brother-in-law Kevin Metcalf.
Oscar was an attentive and caring husband and father. He doted on his pet cats. Misty will greatly miss his loving attention. He also provided care to a colony of abandoned and feral cats. He loved being outdoors in nice weather and gardening. He was a jazz enthusiast but was also appreciative and knowledgeable of all genres of music and artists. He was a fan of car racing, especially Formula 1, and never missed watching a race.
Oscar was proud of his Polish heritage and the values of faith, family, and hard work that he was taught having been raised in Indian Orchard. He carried those values forward his entire life and passed them on to his daughter Kimberly, who he called his greatest achievement. Oscar was devoted to his faith, his family, his home. He was responsible, dependable, helpful. And kind. He was always kind.
Funeral services will be Thursday August 17, 2017 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ The King Church at 10:00am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
