Obituary for Abilio S. Ferrabelo
Abilio S. Ferrabelo, 89, of Ludlow, died peacefully on February 27, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Born in Portugal, he was a longtime Ludlow resident and communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and then worked for many years at Jahn Foundry and J.R. Butcher Shoppe before his retirement; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. Abilio was the beloved husband of the late Ana (daConceicao) Ferrabelo, who predeceased him in 1984; loving father to Delfim and wife Florinda, Manuel and wife Fernanda, and Joe and wife Delia, all of Ludlow, Raul and wife Maria, of South Winsor, CT, Nelita Carmo and husband Carlos, Georgina Pereira and husband Tony, and Zelia Amaral and husband James, all of Chicopee; a dear brother to the late Jose, Maria, Antonio, Manuel, Rosalia, Olivia, Delfim, and Francelina; a cherished grandfather to Kevin, Christina, Danny, Michael, Maggie, Steven, Martha, Tracy, Nicholas, Timmy, Justin, Kelly, Brittney, and Mason; great-grandfather of 12; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services are on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 5-8pm
