Obituary for Albano G. Ferreira
Albano G. Ferreira, 82, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8th, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Portugal he has lived in Ludlow since 1952 and worked for many years at Lavoie Construction Company of Ludlow. Albano was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, a soldier in the Portuguese Army and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. He leaves his beloved wife of 58 years, Maria L. (Gomes) Ferreira of Ludlow; loving children, Antonio A. Ferreira and his wife Cindy of Ludlow and Betty Sarno and her husband Richard of Burlington, MA; cherished grandchildren Amanda Ann Ferreira and Brendan Zachary Ferreira both of Ludlow and Justin Andrew Sarno and Kelsey Aquila Sarno both of Burlington, MA. Funeral services will be held Monday morning May 12, 2008 at 8:00AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday evening from 6-8PM and donations may be made in Albano’s memory to: Baystate Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice 50 Maple St. Springfield, MA. 01103. Â
