Obituary for Albert Leite
Albert Leite, 82, of Ludlow, was called home to be with God on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, he was the son of the late Aniceto and Emelia (Alves) Leite. Albert was a long time Ludlow resident graduating from Ludlow High School and Western New England College. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano and Portuguese American Citizens Club and the Ludlow Soccer Association, and was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees. He co-owned Mayfair Mills with his late wife Doris (Bramucci) Leite who predeceased him in 2004. He leaves his loving daughters, Andrea Leite of Leominster, Lidia Leite and her partner Mary Lessard of Attleboro, and a son Gary Leite of Florida; cherished grandchildren Rachel Johnson and Morgan Leite and his great-grandchildren Jessica, Hadley and Cooper; his caring sisters Alice of Ludlow and Silvia of Florida. Sadly Albert was predeceased by his brother Antonio and sisters Priscilla and Mary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Visiting hours are Thursday morning only from 9:15-10:15am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church with burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert’s memory to the charity of ones choice.
