Obituary for Albino Goncalves
Albino Goncalves, 81, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2008. Born in Samaioes, Chaves, Portugal, the son of the late Manuel and Leopoldina Goncalves, he lived in Uraguay for 22 years before moving to Indian Orchard in 1976. He worked for many years at Alavel before retiring and also enjoyed gardening. Albino was the beloved husband of 50 years to Elisa (Fontes) Goncalves; a dear brother to Joaquim M. Goncalves, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Jose Goncalves, in Uraguay, Joaquina Goncalves, also in Uraguay, and Adelaide Goncalves, in Chaves, Portugal; and was also a dear relative and friend to many others. Funeral services are on Wednesday at 9am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady Of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Tuesday evening from 5-8pm.
