Obituary for Albino S. Malaquias
Albino S. Malaquias, 73, of Ludlow died peacefully Tuesday August 26, 2008, in Baystate Medical Center, with his loving family at his side. Born in Sobral Da Lagoa, Obidos Portugal he served in the Portuguese Army before moving to this country 28 years ago. He worked in construction in the New Jersey area before his retirement. He leaves his wife, Julia (Rosa) Lopes Malaquias, 3 sons; Jorge Santos and his wife Fernanda of Kenilworth N.J., Rui Santos and his wife Paula M. of Elizabeth N.J., Thomas Lopes of Ca., 2 daughters Doreen R. Lopes of Indian Orchard and Darlene L. Kennedy and her husband John of Ludlow, 3 brothers; Antonio, Germano and Agostinho Malaquias, a sister Gracinda Branco, 6 grandchildren; Brittany and Jake Santos, John C. and Stephanie Lopes, Bianca and Sullivan Kennedy. Albino was predeceased by his first wife Ana Maria Santos in 1991 and his siblings Jose Malaquias, Diolinda Pereira and Maria Patrocina Condessa. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10. Committal services will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington N.J. Calling hours are Friday evening from 4-7 PM.
