Aldina (Moura) Carvalho, 95, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Montalegre, Portugal, she immigrated to the United States in 1967 settling in Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and Gremio Lusitano Club. Aldina worked for many years at Milton Bradley from where she retired and she will be remembered for her love of gardening, crocheting and making her famous folar and sonhos.
Aldina was the beloved wife of the late Mario Fernandes de Carvalho, who predeceased her in 1997; a loving mother Maria Ferreira and husband Jose Luis, of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother to Veronica Chelo and husband Christopher, and Alicia Ferreira; an adored great-grandmother to Aidan and Jordyn; a dear sister to Maria Carvalho and the late Americo Moura, Ilda Ferreira, and Isaura Pio; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Aldina wishes to thank the staff at Prosper Monastery Heights and Baystate Medical Center Springfield Unit floor 3 nurses for their exceptional care and compassion for Aldina and her family.
Funeral services for Aldina will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025. Visiting hours are from 9:00-10:15am at Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our lady of Fatima parish followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
