Obituary for Aldore "Pete" Laramie
Aldore “Pete” Laramie Jr., passed away quietly on July 3, 2024 with his wife by his side. Born in Ludlow to the late Aldore and Leocadia (Wysmulek) Laramie, Pete was a graduate of Cathedral High School and served his country honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Package Machinery for 25 years and Jagenburg for 11 years, but His favorite job was working for grounds and maintenance at Westover Golf Course. Pete loved the outdoors whether he was gardening, hunting, fishing or golfing. Over the years he was a member of several sportsman's clubs and he also became an Elk. Pete's greatest joy was his family, he was a loving husband to his wife of 58 years, Lois ( Barré ) Laramie; father to Michelle Mendelson and Andrea Laramie and a proud grandfather to Gabe Mendelson. He also leaves many friends, dear neighbors and extended family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 4 to 6 PM at the Ludlow Funeral Home. Entombment will be at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Contact his family members for more details regarding the burial.
