Obituary for Alfred Goncalves
Alfred “Poncho” Goncalves, 82 of Ludlow passed away on July 22, 2018 at Orchard Valley of Wilbraham. Born and raised in Ludlow, he was the son of the late Alfred and Genevieve (Baron) Goncalves. He was a long time employee of Western Massachusetts Electric company from which he retired in 1991, and he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Anne (Plumador) Goncalves, he is survived by his loving children Mark of Monson and Lisa of Ludlow, he also leaves his beloved granddaughters, Ashley and Abbey and his daughter-in-law Rebecca Goncalves all of Monson and he was predeceased by his brother Charles. Alfred lived a great life filled with traveling with his wife and fishing with his friends. There will be an hour of visitation on Thursday evening July 26, 2018 from 5:00pm 6:00 pm at the Ludlow funeral home.
