Obituary for Alice (Demetrius) Gomes
Alice (Demetrius) Gomes, 87, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Friday Otober 13, 2017. Â Born in Springfield ma, she has lived in Ludlow for many years and was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Gomes who predeceased her in 2005. Â Alice worked for Mass Mutual for 25 years and she enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and her adored pets. Â She leaves her loving children David Gomes and his wife Lisa of West Springfield, Brian Gomes of Ludlow, Susan Daudelin and her husband Thomas of Ludlow and Nancy Moorhouse and her husband Kent of Michigan, and the late Lorie Belanger; Alice leaves to cherish her memory her dear grandchildren Ashley, Nicholas, Kyle, Kory, Kandice, Kassidy and greatgrandchildren Andrew and Mason; her brothers Donald and Richard Demetrius and sister Sherle Clement and her late siblings Alan and Norris. Â Her family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Chicopee Gardens for the compassionate care that was given to Alice during her time there. Â Funeral services for Alice will be held on Thursday October 19, 2017 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Â Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 9:30-11:00am with a Chapel Service beginning at 11:00, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Â In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimers Association at alz.org.
