Obituary for Alice (Nelson) Laamanen
Alice E. (Nelson) Laamanen, 87 of Ludlow, died Saturday Sept. 22, 2007. Born in Maine, she was the widow of William Laamanen, who died in 1964. Alice leaves 8 sons, William, Larry, Russell, James, Edward, John, Elmer and Charles, 2 daughters Patricia Young and Susan Duckworth, a brother Richard Nelson, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11 AM at the Ludlow Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning only from 10 – 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 264 Cottage St. Spfld, Ma. 01104. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child; even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
