Obituary for Amelia (Burek) Charron
Amelia (Burek) Charron, 84, of Ludlow, died peacefully on February 20, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Born in Indian Orchard she was a long time Ludlow resident and a communicant of Christ the King Church. She was the youngest of a long line of 1st generation Polish-Americans. She is predeceased by 12 siblings who left a legacy of many nieces and nephews, too many to list. Millie was proud of her heritage and was fiercely dedicated to her family and friends. She was hard working and had different jobs over the years, last working in the Sheriff’s department in Ludlow. She was active in her community and church, got to travel a lot, but she was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, her many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Millie is predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Albert “Buzz” Charron Jr; was a loving mother to Michael and wife Susan, of RI, Mark, of Ludlow, and Cynthia Gurry, and husband Robert, of ME; a cherished grandmother to Nathan, Kaylena, Evan and Emily; and great grandmother to Dustin. Family meant everything to her and she filled the role of mother and grandmother to many. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th with visiting hours from 8:30-10:15 at the Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Christ the King Church followed by burial at MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, beginning promptly at 1:00pm.
