Obituary for Ana (Costa) Pires
Ana (Costa) Pires, 76, of Ludlow, passed away on July 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Portugal, she immigrated to Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Ana worked for many years at BPW Plastics Corp, a company that always supported her, even after her employment. Ana had a strong love for her family and always put them first. Ana leaves her husband Domingos Pires.; her beloved daughters, Elisa Dagenais and husband Carl of Agawam, Maria Bento and husband Anthony, of East Granby, CT, and Cristina Tatlock and husband Keith, of Ludlow; a loving grandmother to Matthew and David Dagenais, Adrian and Julian Bento, and Jake and Lyla Tatlock, whom she adored; a dear sister to Jose Costa and wife Fernanda, Amalia Costa, Elisa Calvao and late husband Arlindo, and the late Diolinda Barroso and late husband Jose. She also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. At the family’s request, all funeral services were held privately with Ludlow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund/ at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
