Obituary for Ana F. (Coelho) Santos
Ana F. (Coelho) Santos, 93, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Born in Santo Andre, Portugal, she lived most of her life in Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club and Portuguese American Citizens Club. Ana worked for various manufacturing companies and then at Nixon Company in Indian Orchard from where she retired in 1999; and in her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and took great pride in caring for her home. Ana was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin G. Santos, who predeceased her in 2017; a devoted mother to Maria Santos and husband Jack, of Ludlow; a loving grandmother to Michael Santos and wife Caitlin, of Cantwell Alaska, and Anthony dos Santos and wife Carrie, of Dow, Illinois; an adoring great-grandmother to Emma, Max, and Jack Santos; a dear sister to Augusto Coelho, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the late Joao Coelho, Aurora Bernardes, and Manuel Coelho; and also leaves her sister-in-law Ana Santos, of Wilbraham, many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Funeral services for Ana will be held on Saturday, January 18th. Visiting hours are from 8:30-10:00am in Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
