Obituary for Ana Martins Costa
Ana Martins Costa, 98, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Born in Sapelos, Boticas, Portugal, she lived there most of her life before coming to Ludlow in 2000. She was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family whom she cherished. Ana was the beloved wife of the late Jermano Pereira, a loving mother to Alexandrinha Costa and husband Antonio, Carminda Chaves and husband Francisco, Jose Maria Pereira and wife Ana, and Maria “Sao” Pereira and husband Manuel, all of Ludlow, Antonio, Manuel and Domingos, in Brazil, Moises and Elisa, in Portugal and Gloria, in France; a cherished avo of 20 and visavo of 12. She was predeceased by her siblings Amaro and Adozinda Costa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at 9am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial will be in Cemeterio de Sapelos, Portugal Visiting Hours are on Wednesday from 4-7pm.
