Obituary for Angelina (Gomes) Goncalves
Angelina (Gomes) Goncalves, 87, of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 17th, 2010. Born in Covas Boticas, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Domingos Fernandes and Maria Gomes and has lived in Ludlow since 1975 where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Angelina was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Alves Goncalves who predeceased her in 2007. She leaves her loving son Fernando Goncalves and his wife Clementina of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Susan Senecal and her husband Craig and Antonio Goncalves and his companion Sarah Spiller all of Ludlow; caring great-grandchildren Tyler Senecal, Daunte Goncalves, Ariana Goncalves and Brielle Senecal as well as several loving nieces, nephews and extended family in Portugal. Angelina was predeceased by her four sisters, Candida Fernandes, Guilhermina DaSilva, Engracia Fernandes and Preciosa Viera. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 21st, 2010 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy Of Christian Burial celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 9:00am followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday evening from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
