Obituary for Angelina (Zuccarini) Garrison
Angelina (Zuccarini) Garrison, 89, of Ludlow passed away peacefully Friday August 3, 2007. Born in Ludlow she was the daughter of Arturo and Maria (Laghi) Zuccarini. Angelina was a lifelong Ludlow resident and was educated through the Ludlow School System and attended Bay Path College and American International College. She was a 43 year employee of Monsanto and was one of the first women supervisors in charge of benefits, insurance and pensions and she belonged to the 25 Year Club. Angie loved to play golf and was a member of Ludlow Country Club for 35 years, she had a hole in one and was very active in the ladies tournaments and functions of the ladies association, of which she was Vice-President. Angelina was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Ludlow and belonged to its Ladies Guild. Angelina and her husband enjoyed traveling; they toured the United States, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, North Africa and Angie’s favorite, Italy. She leaves her beloved husband of 44 years, Donald Garrison, a niece Sandra Canegallo of Vermont, grand-nieces Heather Gibbs of Vermont and Jennifer Gibbs of Pennsylvania. The family wishes to thank the Hospice Nurses at Quabog Valley VNA and Hospice for all of the compassionate care they gave Angelina during her illness. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday August 8, 2007 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm and donations may be made in Angelina’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA. 01104.Â
