Obituary for Anita M. (Bromley) Pendexter
Anita M. (Bromley) Pendexter, of Ludlow, was called home to be with God on December 8, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late Francis and Harriette (Willard) Bromley, she was a graduate of South Portland High School and was a longtime Ludlow resident where she worked for many years at JoAnn's Fabrics. She was an avid sewer, quilter and crocheter all of her life and loved to make blankets for anyone and everyone to brighten their day. She made the best peanut butter fudge, and was always up for a day trip, but her favorite place to be was with her family.
Anita was the beloved wife of the late Edward H. Pendexter (2009), the love of her life with whom she was together for over 50 years; a loving mother to Christine Toelken (Dave Simmons), Janelle Tarantinno (Chuck Thomas Jr), Susanne Kingsley (Joe Kingsley), and honorary daughter- Kristin Dryjowicz; a devoted grandmother to Adam Costa, Camden Tarantino, Ava Thomas, Indiana Kingsley & Violet Kingsley. a dear sister to the late Francis (Joe) and sister-in-law Judy Bromley, Miriam and brother-in-law Nicholas Nappi and also leaves several nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog- Ginger.
Funeral services for Anita will be held privately by the family and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anita’s memory to Second Chance Animal Services in Brookfield, MA or Whip City Animal Sanctuary in Westfield, MA.
