Obituary for Anita M. (Dube) Maurice
Anita M. (Dube) Maurice, 90, formerly of Arch St., passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2008. Born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Telesphore and Evelina (Trottier),  she was a lifelong resident and a faithful communicant of St. John the Baptist Church as well as a member of its Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality. Aside from being a homemaker, Anita loved to sew. She was a seamstress for many years for Modern Bridal in Indian Orchard and also sewed many of the baptismal bibs for her church. Anita was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert O. Maurice, who predeceased her in 1999; a loving mother to Christopher Maurice and his wife Karen, of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother to Zachary and Chelsea Maurice and Jeffrey and Kerri McCauley; a dear sister to Jeannine Dube, of Ludlow, and the late Eugene, Alphe, and Adrien Duby, Roger Dube, and Florina and Edna Ackerman; a dear sister-in-law to Tillie Dube; and also leaves several loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. John the Baptist Church with cremation to follow. A committal service will be held on Friday, August 29 at 1:00pm in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm.
