Obituary for Ann (Doughty) Folger
Ann (Doughty) Folger, 82, life long resident of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Ann was the daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Doner) Doughty and worked for many years at Mercy Hospital before her retirement in 1992. She leaves her loving children; Lawrence Doughty and William Doughty both of Ludlow and Karen Pietras of Springfield; her cherished grandchildren Scott, George, Sean, Natasha, Ashley and Robby, great-granddaughters Kaylee, Aurora, Annastasisa, Jade, Skylar, Savannah and Sierra; her sisters Carol Johnson, Millie Ollari, Helen Barsh and Marie Bleam along with several loving nieces, nephews family and friends. Sadly, Ann was predeceased by her brother Robert, her sisters Frances Plant, Lucille Grochmal, Harriet Hebert and Thelma Costa as well as a great-grandson, Gage. Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 26, 2012 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church at 9:00am followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm and in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ann’s memory to: Alzheimers Association, 64 Cottage St. Springfield, MA. 01104.
