Obituary for Ann (Lachut) Czerniak
Ann (Lachut) Czerniak, 97, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Saturday December 10, 2016. Born in Ware, Ma to the late Frank and Apolonia (Petras) Lachut, she was a long time Ludlow resident and faithful communicant of Christ the King Parish and active in the Ludlow Senior Center. Ann worked in the cafeteria at Chapin Street School in Ludlow for many years, she enjoyed baking, playing the harmonica and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Czerniak who sadly predeceased her in 1989. Ann leaves her loving children; Alan Czerniak and his wife Karen of Southampton, Carol Gruszka of Wales, Gary Czerniak and his wife Roseann of Ludlow, Mark Czerniak of Westfield; caring grandchildren, Michael Gruska and his wife Amber, Alexandra Czerniak, Mark Czerniak Jr., Nathan Czerniak and Shawn Czerniak as well as her great grandson Michael Gruszka. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Funeral services for Ann will be held on Friday December 16, 2016 at 8:00am at the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:00am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00pm and in lieu of flowers please make donations in Ann’s name to Christ the King Church in Ludlow.
