Obituary for Anna (Palheiredo) Belczyk
Anna (Palheiredo) Belczyk, 90, born in Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Jose and Anna Palheiredo. She retired from the Ludlow Mills and loved working in her yard and shopping at the Eastfield Mall. During the depression, she lived in Portugal from ages 6-13 on her fathers farm, with her brother Joe and sister Mary. Anna and Mary liked tending sheep on the farm but brother Joe did not, he wasn’t a true farmer. Anna was a faithful member of Christ the king Parish in Ludlow. She is predeceased by her husband, Mitchell her best friend and dog Toby her second best friend, sister Erma Bernardos, sister Mary Moreno and husband Louis, brother Jose and his wife Anna, brother Chico Georgia and brother-in-law Robert A. Grassetti. Anna leaves her loving sister Esabel Grassetti of Wilbraham; nephews Daniel Palheiredo and wife Joanne of South Hadley, Louis Moreno of Ludlow, Christopher Bernardos of Palmer, Lewis Bernardos of Montana and Robert J. Grassetti and his wife Cheryl of New Hampshire; nieces Lori Kedziorek and husband Oscar, Judy Metcalf, Cheryl Maillet and husband Dean and a brother-in-law Sonny Bernardos; great-nephews Daniel J. Palheiredo, Robert and Anthony Grassetti, Joseph Moreno, Kyle and Ryan Buckley; great nieces Kimberly Kedziorek Olsen and husband Bryan, Diana Palheiredo and Michele Moreno. Anna’s sister Esabel would like to thank the staff at Lifecare Center of Wilbraham for the wonderful care they gave to Anna. Funeral services for Anna will be held privately by her family and Ludlow Funeral Home was entrusted with her arrangements.
