Obituary for Anna (Silva) Rodrigues
Anna (Silva) Rodrigues entered into eternal rest on May 22, 2008. She was born in Ludlow, MA. on September 5, 1924, where she lived nearly all her life. She graduated from Ludlow High School in 1943 and was employed by Buxton for many years. Anna was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and an active member of both the Ludlow Senior Center and the Ludlow Golden Agers Club. She leaves her devoted husband of 60 years, Ernest “Ernie” Rodrigues; brother Antonio Silva and his wife Mary, of Palmer; sister Ida Saloio and her husband Manny, of Ludlow; along with many adored nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her loving Godchildren, Gilbert Gonsalves, of Chicopee, and Susan (Saloio) LaMondia, of East Longmeadow, and their spouses Kelly and Tom. She also leaves her brother-in-law Fernando “Nundy” Batista and his wife Lil, of Ludlow. Anna was predeceased by her sisters Aurora Gonsalves and Mary Silva. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday evening, May 25th, 2008 from 4-7pm.
