Obituary for Annamarie (Cochrane) Rintala
Annamarie (Cochrane) Rintala, 37, of Granby, was sadly taken from us on Monday, March 29, 2010. Born in Springfield on July 30, 1972, she was a graduate of Cathedral H.S. and was educated at paramedic school in Granby, CT. Ann also attended Master Dive School in Palm Beach, FL and also took classes at Springfield College, AIC and Notre Dame. She was employed at AMR Ambulance Medical Services as a paramedic in both Springfield and Holyoke and was happy helping others in need and saving lives. Annamarie enjoyed scuba diving, photography, golf, and traveling; and was an avid Notre Dame football fan. Annamarie was the beloved daughter of William C. and Lucy (Martin) Cochrane, of Sringfield; a cherished sister to Charles Cochrane, his wife Jennifer and their daughter Jleigh of Springfield; the spouse of Cara Lee Rintala; and a devoted mother to their daughter Brianna Lee Rintala; caring grandaughter of the late Charles E. and Ann M. Cochrane, and Robert F. and Nancy M. Martin; cherished niece of Richard Martin and wife Sandy, of Clearwater, FL, Bobby Martin and wife Lulu, of Voorhees, NJ, Roy Martin and wife Joann, of Wilbraham, her special uncle Patsy Martin and wife Iris, of East Longmeadow, her special aunt Nancy Kaufman and husband Bruce, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Danny Martin and wife Jackie, of Springfield, Judy Meagher and husband Bob, of Agawam, and the late Butchie and Johnny Martin. Annamarie also leaves numerous cousins, extended family members and special friends including, Carla Daniele, Mark Oleksak, cousin Crissy Albano, Mike and T.J. Donahue, her numerous co-workers at AMR and her friends at state and local police and fire departments. Friends and family are asked to gather for a funeral liturgy on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00am in Sacred Heart Church, Chestnut St. Springfield, Ma. Followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, State St.  A reception will follow the funeral ceremony at John Boyle O'Reilly Club 33 Progress Ave. Springfield (off Cottage St.)
