Obituary for Annamarie (Cochrane) Rintala
Annamarie (Cochrane) Rintala, 37, of Granby, was sadly taken from us on Monday, March 29, 2010. Born in Springfield, she was a graduate of Cathedral High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice at American International College. She was a paramedic for American Medical Response, Springfield, MA. Above all, she loved her daughter, family, friends and co-workers at AMR. Our Angel, Annamarie, was a very passionate woman who loved life, the ocean, scuba diving, photography and life's adventures. Her face always had a smile on it! Everyone who met her was drawn to her enthusiastic and loving personality. She had a larger than life sense of humor and it was a joy for her to make people laugh. She was truly "the" entertainer who loved to dance and sing! Annamarie loved the ocean and traveling with her family every chance she could get. One of her passions was to one day "swim with the dolphins"! She was never one for sitting still while life passed by; she wanted to sample it all! Annamarie was a brillant light in our lives, and will be dearly and forever missed. She leaves her beloved wife Cara Lee Rintala and daughter Brianna Lee Rintala, both of Granby, MA; her loving parentsWilliam and Lucy (Martin) Cochrane, of Sringfield; her brother Charles Cochrane, his wife Jennifer and their daughter Jleigh of Springfield; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Sandra Montagna of Narragansett, RI, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., in Annamarie's church, the First Congregational Church (Center Church) in South Hadley, MA., which was a very important part of her life.
John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, One Church St., South Hadley, MA. 01075, or the charity of your choice.
