Obituary for Annette (Mikula) Rebelo
Annette M. (Mikula) Rebelo, 88, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilbraham, the daughter of the late Walter and Magdalena (Pirdose) Mikula, she lived most of her life in Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Together with her late husband Alfred, Annette owned the former B&W Supermarket in Ludlow and later worked for many years at Rexall Co. before her retirement. Annette was the beloved wife of the late Alfred M. Rebelo, who predeceased her in 1997; a loving mother to Cynthia Manganaro, of Ludlow; a dear sister to Matilda Monette of Ludlow and Edward Mikula of California; a cherished grandmother to Lorri M. Ostrowski, John and Mark Manganaro, and Michele Manganaro-Thompson; and great-grandmother to Erin, Jerad, Alec, Dwight, Giana, Matthew and Jenna. She was also predeceased by her sister Viola Sierakowski. Annette’s family would like to thank the nurses and CNA’s on the A-1 Unit of the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow, especially Jessica, for the kind and compassionate care they gave to her while she was there. Funeral services are on Tuesday morning at 8:30AM from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation is on Tuesday morning only from 8:30AM-9:20AM.
