Obituary for Antonio Batista
Antonio A. Batista, 83, of Belchertown passed away in the care and comfort of his home on Thursday April 11, 2013 with his family by his side. Born in Chaves, Portugal to the late Antonio and Delfina (Amaro) Batista he has lived in Belchertown for many years. Antonio was a huge soccer fan and loved to travel and enjoy life. He loved sports, music and politics, but his greatest joy was the time spent with his caring family and friends. Antonio was sadly predeceased by his beloved wife Maria Virginia Batista in 2010. He leaves his cherished daughters, Christine Auffrey and her partner Steve Williams and Shirley Sbriscia and her husband Kevin as well as his dear grandchildren Kyle Auffrey, Kayla Auffrey and Krysta Sbriscia. It was Antonio’s wish that funeral services and burial be held in Portugal. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
