Obituary for Antonio Goncalves Crespo
Antonio Goncalves Crespo, 84 of Ludlow, passed away peacefully in December 21, 2019. Born in Padornelos, Portugal, son of Abel Afonso and Maria Juliano Crespo, he proudly served in the Portuguese Army. He immigrated to the United States in 1974, settling in Ludlow, where he was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. António worked for many years at Advanced Drainage Systems, from where he retired, and in his spare time, he loved making homemade wine and chourica, gardening, and took pride in his green grass. António was the beloved husband of 51 years to Virginia (De Moura) Crespo; a loving father to Maria Johnson and husband Mark, of TX, and Isabel Kilduff and husband Keith, of Ludlow; a cherished grandfather to Matthew and Caitlin Johnson, and Ariana and Cameron Kilduff; a dear brother to Lucinda Alves, of Portugal, Joaquim Crespo, of Wilbraham, Ilda Alves, of Ludlow, and the late Rosa Garcia, Aurora Lopes, and Maria Oliveira; and also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Funeral Services for Antonio are on are on Friday, December 27th. Visiting hours are from 8:30-10:15 at Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
