Obituary for Antonio Ormeche
Antonio “Russo” Ormeche, 80 of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Monday March 12, 2012. Born in Padornelos, Portugal he was the son of the late Joaquim and Maria (Goncalves) Ormeche. Russo was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club, he enjoyed hunting, and playing cards with his family and friends. He leaves his beloved wife of 53 years Gloria (Da Silva) Ormeche of Ludlow; loving daughters Maria Isabel and husband Jorge, Ines and Husband Armindo, Maria Adelina and her husband Paul and Gina and her fiance Jerry all of Ludlow and Cilia of Coppell, Texas; cherished grandchildren Jorge, David, Scott, Trisha, Meaghan, Kacie, Brandon, Tyler, Matthew and Emma as well as his great-granddaughter Morgan; caring brothers Quico Ormeche and his wife Maria, Augusto Ormeche and his wife Maria both of France and his sisters Maria Oliveira and her husband Mario of Ludlow and Teresa Goncalves of Portugal along with many caring nieces and nephews. Sadly Russo was predeceased by his brothers Jose and Artur, his sister Ana and his grandson Stephen. Funeral services for Antonio will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 8:30am from the Ludlow Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Church with interment in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
