It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Silva Juliano, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend. Antonio left us on November 30th, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Born in Padornelos, Portugal, son of Sebastiao Goncalves Juliano and Maria Aparecida da Silva, he immigrated to the United States in 1966, after service in the Portuguese Air Force. He retired as a laborer from Palmer Paving where his work ethic stood out as above and beyond. He was a member of the Laborers Local 596, the Gremio Lusitano and a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Ludlow. Antonio loved gardening, bocce, playing cards, beach vacations in Maine and watching soccer, especially his granddaughter. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Those who knew him will remember him for his stories and infectious laughter. He was a devoted husband of 57 years to Cacilda Garcia Juliano, who was his best friend and the love of his life. He leaves behind his loving children, Antonio Luis Juliano and daughter-in-law Tina, Victor Juliano, Rosemary Mazza and son-in-law David and his beloved granddaughter Catarina. He also leaves behind his brothers Manuel Juliano and his wife Nela, Fernando Juliano and his wife Diane; his sisters Ana Esteves and her late husband Jose, Maria da Cruz and her husband Joao. He also leaves behind aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends who loved him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact he had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by all. Funeral services for Antonio will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday morning from 8:15am-10:15am with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
