Obituary for April (Gulbrandsen) Robinson
April D. (Gulbrandsen) Robinson, 60, of Palmer, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 23, 2017. Born in Great Falls, Montana, she was a graduate of Ludlow High School and longtime Ludlow resident before moving to Palmer. April worked for 39 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DMR, from where she retired, and in her spare time enjoyed cooking, throwing Winnie the Pooh parties for her nieces and nephews and listening to folk music. She will be remembered for her generosity, kind heart, and always helping anyone who needed it, but most of all, for being the best Auntie April to her nieces and nephews whom she adored. April was the loving wife of Paul Robinson; the beloved daughter of Gordon and Doris (Johnsen) Gulbrandsen, of Ludlow; beloved sister of Karen Grimm and partner Gary Froehlich of Auburn and Eric Gulbrandsen of Ludlow; a loving step-mother to Catherine and Amy Robinson; and also leaves several cherished nieces and nephews, Karina Grimm and husband Greg DaSilva, Trevor Grimm and wife Shannon, Matthew Gulbrandsen and wife Amelia, Maren Gulbrandsen and husband John Farrell; her 2 great nephews and 1 great niece as well as many extended family members, and dear friends. Visiting hours for April will be held on Friday, May 26th from 4:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home and on Saturday, May 27th from 10:00-10:45am concluding with a Celebration of LIfe Service at 11:00am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in April’s memory to: Shriners Children's Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA. 01104
