Obituary for Arlindo Valadares
Arlindo Valadares, 77, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Castelo, Portugal, Arlindo immigrated to the United States in 1977 settling in Ludlow where he was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. He worked for many years at Freitas Construction and will be remembered by his family and friends as a Jack of all trades. Arlindo was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, gardening, and tending to his animals.
Arlindo was the beloved husband of 55 years to Maria Valadares; a loving father to Americo Valadares, of Indian Orchard, Antonio Valadares and wife Lisa, of Agawam, Sergio Valadares, of Indian Orchard, and Elisabeth Valadares, of Ludlow; a beloved grandfather to Kaleb Valadares and Xavier Hernandez; a dear brother to Antonio Valadares, and the late Jose, Maria and Conceicao Valadares, Alcina Leal, and Ana Carvalho; and also leaves favorite grand dogs Ace & Quinn, many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visiting hours for Arlindo will be held on Monday, August 11th from 5:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services are on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:00am from the funeral home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Parish followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
