Obituary for Armando Batista

Armando Batista, 96, of Ludlow passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, November 16, 2020. Born in Valdanta, Portugal to the late Joao Filipe and Teresa Bernardo, he has lived in Ludlow for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. He was the beloved husband of the late Celeste (Dias) Batista who predeceased him in 2012. Armando leaves his loving children; Joao Batista and wife Candida, Teresa Batista and Carlos Batista; adored grandchildren Michael Batista, Diane Nascimento, Elaine Nogueira, Robert Nascimento, Kate Belair, Kelly Saleeba and Emily Batista; great grandchildren Alyah, Alyssa, Eli, Brynn, Mila, Reid and Cameryn; he leaves his brother Jack and his wife Irene Batista and his son-in-law Jaime Nascimento. Sadly, Armando was also predeceased by his daughter Naida Nascimento in 2018 and his 4 brothers; Jose, Alvaro, Antonio and Afonso. Funeral services for Armando are on Monday November 23, 2020 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. A public walk thru visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30am at the funeral home, his funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church and his burial will be held privately by his family due to state and local restrictions.
