Obituary for Armenio "Rod" Rodrigues
Armenio “Rod” Rodrigues, of Ludlow, was called safely home to be with God on Friday, April 7, 2006, his 84th birthday. Born in Ludlow, he was a lifelong resident and a retired 41 year employee for the Monsanto Co. Rod was an Army Veteran serving his country honorably during WWII in both the European and Pacific Theaters and was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He leaves his beloved wife of 56 years Elizabeth “Betty” (McKay) Rodrigues; his loving children Scott Rodrigues and his wife Stacy of Flemington N.J., Karen Bramucci of Ludlow, and Lynn Zimmerman and her husband Richard of Belchertown; cherished grandchildren Michael Salvador and his wife Melanie, Jeffrey Salvador, Derek Langevin, and Tyler, A.J. and Samatha Rodrigues; great grandchildren Mason and Ava Salvador; and his siblings Lawrence and Limpio Rodrigues and Dolores Supernaw. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary of The Assumption Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-8 PM.
