Obituary for Arnaldo F. Esteves
Arnaldo F. Esteves, 66, of Ludlow, passed away at home on June 30, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Montalegre, Vila Real, Portugal, son of the late Joao and Arminda (Fernandes) Esteves, he immigrated to Ludlow where he was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and former member of The Gremio Lusitano Club. Arnaldo worked for many years at Unifirst and was a member of the United Food Commercial Works International Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, landscaping, watching classic western films, relaxing after a long day with a nice cup of wine; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and being around the ones he loved. Arnaldo was the beloved husband of 30 years to Maria da Conceicao (Teixeira De Carvalho) Esteves, who he loved unconditionally; a loving father to Joao Esteves and wife Ashley, of Ludlow, and Pedro Esteves and wife Samantha, of Agawam; a cherished grandfather to Avalina and Elijah Esteves, and Dominic Before; a dear brother to Leonor Gallent Esteves, Jose A. Fernandes, and the late Acacio Dias; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. His family loves and misses him, but will never forget all of the memories and time they were able to spend with him. He will always have a place in the hearts of the people who loved him. Funeral services for Arnaldo will be held privately by his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arnaldo’s memory to American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Baystate Hospice 30 Capital Dr. West Springfield, Ma,. 01089.
