Obituary for Arthur J. Bousquet
Arthur J. Bousquet, 85, of Granite Falls, NC, formerly of Ludlow, Belchertown and Clearwater, FL, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2011 in North Carolina with his loving family by his side. Born in Ludlow in 1926, he was raised in Indian Orchard where he attended St. Aloysius School, and later attended Putnam Trade School. Arthur was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving his country during WWII in the Pacific aboard the USS Westmoreland troop transport. He worked for 13 years as a Sales and Service Rep. for Interstate Uniform, as a salesman for Hatheway Bakery and then retired from the MASS State Lottery after 18 years as a Field Representative in the Western Mass area. He was also President and owner of A.J.B. apartments and Realty, a life member of The American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the AMVETS. In addition, Arthur belonged to the Florida Sheriffs Association, Youth Ranches, Father Flanagans Boys Town, Retired State Employees Assoc., the N.R.A, the Presidents Task Force, was a little league baseball coach for the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club, and and worked on many Mass and Florida political campaigns. Arthur was the beloved husband of 63 years to Jeanne (Bouchard) Bousquet; a loving father to Linda Carnevale, of N.C, Patricia Robert, of Palmer, Richard Bousquet, of Ludlow, Kenneth Bousquet, of MI; a cherished grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 19; and also leaves 2 sisters, many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10 in Ludlow Funeral Home with services beginning at 10am followed by burial with Military Honors in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday evening from 5-8pm. Â
