Obituary for Augusto Afonso Crespo
Augusto A. Crespo ,85, of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 3, 2019. Born in Padornelos, Portugal to the late Jose Crespo and Maria (da Silva), he was a long time Ludlow resident, a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. Augusto leaves his beloved wife of 52 years, Ana de Fatima (Vasques) Crespo of Ludlow; loving daughter Ana Maria Costa and her husband Antonio of Springfield; adored grandchildren Marc Coelho and wife Tanja of Palmer and Angelica Coelho of Ludlow; cherished great-grandsons Carter and Elijah; and his dear sister Maria Afonso Crespo of Portugal, as well as several caring nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Sadly Augusto was predeceased by his brothers Abel and Jose Crespo and a sister Balbina Crespo. Funeral services for Augusto will be held on Tuesday, October 8th at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
