Obituary for Aurora (Goncalves) Martins
Aurora (Goncalves) Martins, 84, of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday February 26th, 2008. Born in New Bedford to the late Domingos and Gracinda (Dias) Goncalves, she has lived in Ludlow since 1962 and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Aurora leaves her beloved husband of 60 years Manuel Martins of Ludlow; loving brothers Jose Goncalves and his wife Aurora, Abilio Goncalves and his wife Irene, Faustino Goncalves and his wife Fernanda; sister Alina Da Silva and her husband Fernando, all of Ludlow; caring sisters-in-law Elvira Goncalves and Celina Goncalves of Ludlow as well as several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers Carlos Goncalves and Silverio Goncalves. Funeral services will be held Friday Morning February 29th, 2008 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4-7pm.
