Obituary for Aurora "Laura" Kogut
Aurora "Laura" (Santos) Kogut died peacefully on Monday May 30th, with her family by her side. A lifelong resident of Ludlow, she was a communicant of Christ the King Church, belonging to it's rosary sodality and Daughter's of Christ the King. She also was active at the Ludlow Senior Center and the Golden Agers as well as the Portuguese American Citizens Club. She retired from the Valmont Mills and had worked previously for the Cromwell Mills. She was the widow of Joseph Kogut , who died in 2005. "Laura" is survived by her two daughters; Sandra Baltazar and her husband Robert of Ludlow, and Geri Weindelmayer and her husband Fred of Longs S.C., 3 grandchildren; Rob Baltazar(Shannon), Laura Spicer(Byron) and Fred Weindelmayer(Dawn), 8 great grandchildren; Joseph and Rachel Baltazar, Akea and Charlie Spicer, Isaiah, Sarah, Ellie and Abigail Weindelmayer, a brother Joseph Santos(Gerry), 3 sisters Dolly Casagrande, Leonette Roberts, and Alice Coelho as well as many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to specially thank Maria Helin, Mary Ann Henriques, Jane LaFleche and Scott Lozyniak for all their loving care and support. Family and friends are asked to meet for her Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday, June 4th at 10:00am at Christ the King Church, with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Ludlow Funeral Home will be Friday evening from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Donations are requested to be sent to Christ the King Church , or "Friends" of the Ludlow Senior Center
