Obituary for Beatrice (Ethier) Moura
Beatrice W. (Ethier) Moura, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025 surrounded by her loving family and pug Queenie. Born in Springfield, she grew up on Hungry Hill and attended Springfield Schools. Beatrice looked forward to her yearly trips to Old Orchard Beach, Cape Cod and Las Vegas; she enjoyed gardening, casinos, playing cards and scratching scratch tickets. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Casey Moura who sadly predeceased her in 2004. She was the loving mother of Rosemary Courtney of Wilbraham, Linda Riel of Belchertown, Joe and Marianne Moura of Belchertown and Tony Moura of Belchertown; adored grandmother to Debbie Cook, Nick Moura, Jackie Moura, Nicole Reilly and Christopher Riel and the late T.J. Courtney; cherished great grandmother to Caitlin, Courtney, Cassandra, Alexander, Jack and Adam Cook, Henrik Moura and Vivian Reilly. Funeral services for Beatrice were held privately by her family and were entrusted to Ludlow Funeral Home. It was the wish of Beatrice’s family that donations be made in her memory to the Dakin Humane Society @ www.dakinhumane.org.
