Obituary for Belarmino Martins
Belarmino Martins, 85, of West Palm Beach, Florida and formerly of Ludlow passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011. Born in Ludlow to the late Umbelina (Alves) Martins, he was a long time Ludlow resident before moving to West Palm Beach in 1989. Belarmino was a former member of the Ludlow Country Club, past president of the Unity A.C., former member of the Gremio Lusitano Club and he served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He leaves his loving children David Martins of Monson and Katherine Cardinale and her husband Domenick of Hampden; loving granddaughter Lindsay Cardinale of Chicago; caring brother Tony Martins a sister Mary Jewett and his longtime companion Viola "Vicky" Consolmagno, as well as several loving nieces, nephews, family and friends both in Ludlow and South Florida. Sadly Belarmino was predeceased by his brother Jaime Martins. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 at the Ludlow Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00am-10:30am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11:00am, followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
