Obituary for Benta (Dias) Pereira
Benta (Dias) Pereira, 99, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022 in Bonita Springs, FL surrounded by her loving family. Born in Travassos da Cha, Portugal on November 16, 1922, she immigrated to the U.S. settling in Ludlow where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Benta worked for many years at Cromwell Mills before finishing her employment with RexNord from where she retired; and in her free time, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Benta was the beloved wife of the late Americo Pereira, who predeceased her in 2001; a loving mother to Jaime Pereira and his wife Cindy of Naples, FL; a devoted grandmother to Daniel, Jonathan and wife Gretchen, and Nicholas Pereira and wife Brittany; a great-grandmother to Olivia and Madelyn; and also leaves many extended family members and dear friends. Funeral Services for Benta will be held on Monday, October 17th. Visiting hours are from 9:00-10:15am in Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Parish followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
