Obituary for Bernice "Bernie" Forslund
Bernice “Bernie” (Howes) Forslund,75, a lifelong resident of Ludlow, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, May 27th, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. An active member of the First Church of Ludlow, she was involved in many committees, fund raisers, served as a greeter and Deacon, and loved to spend time with her church children at Sunday School, and at Summer Vacation Bible School. Bernie had worked for several years in the office at Ludlow Auto Salvage Co, and enjoyed her time with her family, her recent travels, as well as her many flowers, gardens and plants. Bernie was the beloved mother of Stephen and his wife Barbara, of Sandwich; Barbara Moutinho and her husband Mark, of Ludlow, Raymond, who predeceased her in 1979, and David, who sadly passed away on Friday, May 28th; a loving sister to Beatrice Howe, Wilbur, Robert and Paul Howes, and the late Richard Howes, and Jane Godin; the adoring grandmother to Leah and Laura Forslund; and also leaves her loving extended family, including Dave's life partner Ray. Services for Bernice will be Tuesday morning at 11 A.M. at the First Church, Center St. Ludlow, with burial to follow in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Ludlow Funeral Home & Cremation Services will be Monday evening from 5- 8 PM.
